Welcome to my strange bookish mind!
This post is just a friendly reminder about why you should stick with it! And if you have a story you want to tell, tell it!
I have come to know many people who have amazing stories to tell, things they want to share with the world. But they don’t. And why is that? Well, some feel like their story isn’t important enough. Some think they need certain credentials that they don’t have. Others are afraid their story won’t be well-received or that no one will listen. Maybe they will be laughed at and that would wound them deeper than anything. Whatever their reason may be, they let their voices, their stories, stay in the shadows. They never speak out or speak up and so the stories that could change the world are never told in the first place.
I don’t know if you fit into that category but if you do, I am here to let you know that your voice is important and your story matters. You may not be the best writer but that doesn’t mean you can’t write a book. Thanks to today’s tech there are multiple options for sharing your voice with the world. You can go with a book, audio book or ebook. But you can also start a blog, become a YouTuber or Instagram Influencer to share your truth with the world.
Those stories you were scared to tell, the ones people tell you should stay secret, the truths about your experience, your emotions, your thoughts. These are the stories that change lives, even if it might just be one life. They do change lives. And your story matters. So take your voice from out of the shadows and share it with the world because that is where it deserves to be.
What’s your story? Why haven’t you told it? What are you waiting on?
Thanks for being a part of my bookish family! And if you aren’t yet, feel free to follow this blog as well as follow me on Instagram and Goodreads. I love hearing from you so if you have any criticisms or comments…or if you just want to say hi, let me know either in the comments or through my contact page.
Always remember that your voice matters and that your story is worth sharing.
