Chyina here! Hello to all my bookish family. I have a review for you today, like I do every Friday but first I want to mention that there are some pretty cool posts on Monday too so please follow! That way you can see all the cool things that are going on and maybe get some inspiration.
One of my most recent reads was The Final Formula by Becca Andre. I say most recent because it isn’t my latest read but the last two books I read were pretty bad. Would anyone be interested in reading a review about a bad book? Hmmm. Let me know what you think down below, your comments really help me out. Anywho, The Final Formula is about Addie. Addie is short for Addled Alchemist, which is exactly what she is. When she was found by her friend James, she had no memories and the only words she could form were random lists of alchemical ingredients. But that was months ago. And now with James as a true friend, she works for his brothers making enchanted bullets that never miss. But she is sick of his cruel and abusive brothers, she is tired of not knowing who she really is and so she decides to find out. What happened to her home? Where were all the other alchemists? And why was a magical person there when it the Alchemica blew up? They hate alchemy. With a head full of questions, she begins seeking answers with James by her side.
She has one lead but when her lead falls flat, what is she to do? Why is a magical willing to help her? Will she ever discover who she really is? And why are men in suits after her? Addie is sarcastic and often rude thanks to her proud manner which ends her in a lot of bad situations. To be blunt, I doubt anyone in real life would befriend Addie, unless they took her in small doses. She is willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants, regardless of how it affects others and that isn’t the half of it. But that is what makes reading her so enthralling.
My overall score? 4/5⭐
